I am a passionate home baker, seeking to make a perfectly delicious 100% whole grain bread made with home cultured sourdough, and using home milled whole grains (ancient, modern, or heritage), sourced regionally in the Chesapeake grain shed. The Tartine books were my first my teachers, their recipes are my templates and the basis for much experimentation. Having attended the Kneading Conference several times since 2011, I have continued my education with various workshops, an addiction to several bread blogs, a worse addiction to collecting books on bread, and membership in the Bread Bakers Guild of America that has given me access to a daily forum among bakers around the world batting problems, ideas, and questions back and forth every day  (I am the fly on the wall soaking up their words of wisdom in intense silence).
